    At Sunkissed Doodles, we are dedicated to producing exceptional puppies with purpose—whether as beloved family companions, therapy prospects, or service-minded dogs. To maintain the highest standards in health, temperament, and trainability, we carefully select and pair our 

Dams and Sires to create well-rounded, intelligent, and loving puppies. Because exceptional breeding begins with exceptional parent dogs, we’ve intentionally built our program around a Guardianship model—placing our dogs in carefully selected family homes where they are loved, enriched, and able to thrive beyond a traditional kennel environment. This approach allows us to uphold the highest standards of care while giving each dog the quality of life they deserve.

• WHAT IS A GUARDIAN HOME?  A Guardian Home is a carefully approved family that raises and cares for one of our breeding dogs as their own forever pet. These dogs live full, happy lives in a home environment, receiving the love, attention, and training every dog deserves. Once they have passed all health, structural, and temperament clearances, they may return to us periodically for breeding or whelping. Our Guardian Program is built on a mutual, respectful partnership between Sunkissed Doodles and each family. In most cases, Guardian families receive a puppy selected either from our program or from another reputable breeder that aligns with our standards.

• WHY WE USE GUARDIAN HOMES?  We believe every dog deserves an exceptional quality of life. Rather than raising all of our breeding dogs in one location, Guardian Homes allow each dog to receive individualized attention, proper training, socialization, and a true family environment. This approach ensures our parent dogs are well-balanced, happy, and thriving—which directly impacts the temperament and quality of the puppies they produce. By working with dedicated Guardian families, we’re able to responsibly grow our program while staying true to our values of ethical breeding, intentional pairings, and exceptional care.

• WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS AND COMMITMENT?  Becoming a Guardian Home is a unique and rewarding opportunity. Families receive a high-quality, carefully selected dog at no cost, while playing an important role in our program.
  • We do not charge for our Guardian dogs 
  • A commitment deposit is required to ensure dedication to the program 
  • If a dog does not meet breeding standards, the deposit becomes a reduced pet purchase price 
  • The deposit is returned once the contract is fulfilled 
  • In addition, we provide compensation to our Guardian families at the end, as a sincere thank you for their commitment and care.

• IS A GUARDIAN HOME RIGHT FOR YOU? Being a Guardian Home is a meaningful commitment and an important role within our program. We encourage families to ask LOTS of questions, do their research, and fully understand the responsibilities involved. While it is a commitment, it is also an incredibly rewarding experience—both for the family and the dog.
